Digital Design: X-Ray Hand (2016)

X-Ray Hand (2016)

Using Photoshop's filters and gradient mesh options, this was my rendition of a hand seen through an x-ray. The hand's source came from a photograph I've studied to understand the bone structure and how it should look. Through the various filter effects, mesh settings, and blending options, I ended up with a simulation of an x-ray. One of the aspects of the design I wanted to capture was the occasional distortion in x-ray photographs. This can be seen on the index finger (the shape suddenly curves due to a printing flaw). Since this is an illustration from 2016, I would like to revise it when I have the opportunity.
